BlackRock Boosts Ethereum Holdings with $315M Accumulation Spree

BlackRock strengthens its crypto position by buying $315M worth of Ethereum, signaling growing institutional interest in ETH.

BlackRock has expanded its Ethereum holdings by acquiring $315 million worth of ETH in several transactions, indicating a growing interest by investors and their view of Ethereum as a valuable asset.

BlackRock Expands Ethereum Portfolio 

The BlackRock company has increased its Ethereum holdings by $315 million, with data from Arkham showing multiple transactions from the firm’s ETF-linked wallets.

The purchases included repeated deposits of 10,000ETH each worth $46 million from Coinbase Prime hot wallets, as well as a smaller transfer of 2,691ETH. 

Ethereum spot ETFs recorded the highest daily inflows of $443.9 million according to market data from SoSoValue, bringing its total assets under management to $28.84 billion. This buying momentum indicates institutional confidence in Ethereum’s potential as an investment asset and ends weeks of mixed sentiments.

The acquisition expands BlackRock’s digital asset portfolio and confirms that financial firms are investing in cryptocurrencies. If the trends continue, Ethereum could see steady capital inflows, strengthening its role as a key part of blockchain adoption.

Ethereum Surges Past $4500 as Institutional Buying Drives Momentum 

Ethereum opened the session trading at $4,378 before climbing above $4,500, gaining a 3.40% increase at the time of this publication. The rally comes amid rising institutional demand for the asset, led by BlackRock, which bought $315 million worth of the asset.

Ethereum has increased by 4.89% over the past week and 20.90%  in the last month, with a 93.99% rise over the previous six months and a 35.91% year-to-date gain.

Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine and head of research at Fundstrat, predicts that Ethereum could climb to $5,500 and end the year ranging between $10,000 and $12,000.
