Best Poker Site? This Crypto Betting Platform Just Unveiled $50 Million Giveaway – Global Online Poker Championship

People are beginning to temporarily step away from crypto trading amid prolonged market turmoil, turning instead to other bustling pursuits.

One of them is online poker. And as interest in the game picks up, evidenced by the $3.2 billion revenue milestone recorded in Q1 2026, top-tier crypto-native operators such as CoinPoker appear to be making the most of that attention.

For example, following its successful software redesign in early March, CoinPoker has attracted a larger player base through consistent rollouts of major tournaments and promotions that offer quality entertainment and lucrative crypto rewards.

The most recent, dubbed the Battle of Malta Online Series, concluded last week, with more than $30 million in tournament prizes and 100 all-expenses paid Battle of Malta Autumn Edition packages distributed among players.

But before this series, there was World Poker Masters, a month-long festival that attracted a record-breaking 578,000 entries and awarded $48 million in total cash prizes.

Next on the schedule, as announced by CoinPoker, will be the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC), featuring $50 million in guarantees, tiered Main Events, and 700-plus medal tournaments, all organized around three regional prime time windows.

It’s going to be a six-week series, running August 23 through September 28, and given the size of its pool, industry observers are already tipping it to become the largest series in CoinPoker’s history.

Introducing the GOPC – The Olympics of Crypto Poker

The concept behind the GOPC is to bring an Olympic-style championship to online poker through medal events and a globally inclusive schedule.

According to early announcements, more than 700 events across the series will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to their respective top three finishers.

These events are divided into three buy-in tiers, giving players across different bankroll levels an opportunity to compete for medals and cash prizes.

Here’s the thing: champions in low-stakes fields will receive the same Gold medal featured in CoinPoker’s Trophy Cabinet, as well as a physical version, just like their high roller counterparts.

These medalists will also receive their share of the cash prizes attached to each event. This inclusive approach not only keeps low-stakes players alive for the full six weeks but also creates a level playing field for recognition across the series.

Also among the championship’s biggest attractions is regional scheduling. Though the full schedule is still on the way, information released so far indicates that all events will be structured around three prime-time windows, allowing players from all regions to participate at times convenient to them.

In particular, the three primetime windows will align with Europe, Asia, and Latin America. This setup adds a sense of regional pride to the championship, an attribute that could contribute to its widespread participation.

And beyond the $50 million guarantee, additional value is also planned through leaderboards, though further details are yet to be announced.

Nonetheless, CoinPoker says by the end of the championship, it will have awarded more than $133 million in tournament prizes across its major 2026 poker festivals, including the World Poker Masters and Battle of Malta Online.

Notable GOPC Events to Watch Out For

Tiered Main Events

The centerpiece of the GOPC will be the tiered structure of its Main Events. That design ensures players with low or moderate bankrolls are not priced out of the Main Events.

$530 Main Event

The $530 Main Event leads this category, tailored to high-stakes grinders and wealthy amateurs craving elite, nosebleed poker action.

Participants will battle for a share of a $3,000,000 prize pool as well as Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.

Day 1 flights for this event will run mostly on Sundays. But, there will be three more flights on other days to spread the field across time zones.

Day 2 is scheduled for September 28th at 17:30 UTC.

$55 Global Main

Following the $530 Main Event is the $55 Global Main, featuring a $1,000,000 prize pool.

It offers daily flights, and survivors will advance to Day 2 on September 21 for a fierce battle for a share of the prize pool, as well as Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.

$11 Mini Main

Finally, there is the $11 Mini Main, specifically for players with low bankrolls. It features daily flights, similar to Global Main, and Day 2 will take place on September 21.

The GTD? $250,000.

CoinMillion GOPC Edition

The first and second editions of CoinPoker’s flagship CoinMillion events took place during the World Poker Masters and Battle of Malta Online, respectively.

Each edition drew in thousands of entries, culminating in dramatic, hard-fought battles that produced champions.

In the first edition, for example, 4,278 entries were recorded, and after intense competition, DaniC1994 won the inaugural title.

Unsurprisingly, the second edition attracted even more entries, around 4,784, and was eventually won by monc.

This success encouraged CoinPoker to integrate the event into the lineup of monthly fixtures in its tournament lobby.

Today, August 9th, for instance, the third edition will go live with its $1,000,000 guarantee, and wrap up in two days.

The September edition, however, falls directly inside the GOPC, giving players an additional opportunity to claim a six-figure prize, a real trophy, and a place in CoinPoker’s history.

Players should also look forward to 3-Bet Club, a premium membership program billed to go live on CoinPoker on August 17. Members will have access to exclusive rewards such as tournament discounts, action multiplier, rewards boost, power-ups, and more.
