Metamask Integrates Crypto Prediction Platform Polymarket into its Mobile App

MetaMask has integrated the crypto prediction platform Polymarket into its mobile wallet, enabling users to predict real-world events directly in the app.

This integration makes Metamask the first wallet where users fully control their funds and can access prediction markets, indicating a big change in how people use blockchain forecasting tools. 

According to the company, the latest version of MetaMask Mobile allows users to quickly fund their account and make predictions on politics, sports, crypto, culture, and global events all within the app.

Each prediction involves real money, which MetaMask says gives a more accurate sense of what people really think and responds faster than traditional polls.

MetaMask says this feature comes as prediction markets are becoming more popular in many areas, with Polymarket’s recent approval to operate in the U.S. also increasing interest in regulated prediction platforms.

Mike Lwin, the Senior Director of Product at MetaMask, says that using prediction markets on mobile used to be inconvenient because switching apps slowed users down. He notes that the new MetaMask integration fixes this by keeping everything in one app, allowing people to trade in real-time, and encouraging more activity across the MetaMask ecosystem.

Users can now trade predictions while a game is happening, during a political debate, or when big crypto news breaks. MetaMask views this update as part of its growth as crypto goes mainstream and users seek simpler tools to follow global events.

Lwin adds that the prediction markets fit MetaMask’s goal by allowing users to tap into collective knowledge to understand the world. He emphasizes the importance of being the first, noting that mobile wallets have seen major upgrades this year, including Solana support, native Bitcoin, Perps, Multichain Accounts, a unified Swap, and the recent integration of Hyperliquid for trading perpetual markets.
