Bank Leumi Sets Early 2027 Launch for Digital-Asset Trading
Bank Leumi plans to launch digital-asset trading in early 2027, giving customers access to Bitcoin, Ether and Solana through Leumi Trade.
Bank Leumi, Israel’s largest bank, has partnered with Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ: GLXY) to provide digital-asset trading services to its customers. Leumi and its mobile banking arm, PEPPER, are expected to offer buying, holding and selling of Bitcoin, Ether and Solana through the Leumi Trade app in early 2027.
The Mechanics of the Deal
Customers will access trading in a dedicated, secured section of the Leumi Trade capital markets app. The initial assets named for the service are Bitcoin, Ether and Solana, according to Investing.com’s coverage of the announcement.

Bank Leumi plans to use GalaxyOne Institutional, Galaxy’s platform for banks and asset managers, for trading and related services. The bank also signed an agreement with Galaxy’s Custody Infrastructure platform, formerly known as GK8, to support its digital-asset infrastructure.
Bank and Galaxy Statements
Maya Ravia, Bank Leumi’s head of strategy, said the initiative is a significant part of the bank’s innovation strategy and is intended to give customers simple, secure and regulated access to digital-asset trading through technological infrastructure.
Lior Lamesh, CEO of Galaxy Israel, said Leumi is the first bank in Israel to bring digital assets to its customers and that it selected Galaxy for the service.
Initial Asset Offering
The planned service will initially cover three digital assets: Bitcoin, Ether and Solana. The announcement identifies these assets as the products customers will be able to buy, hold and sell within Leumi Trade.
Galaxy Digital is a global company focused on digital assets and data-center infrastructure. It is headquartered in New York City and has offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Earlier Pepper Invest Plan
Leumi has previously explored bank-based crypto trading. Cryptopolitan reported that Pepper Invest announced a Bitcoin and Ether trading partnership with Paxos in 2022, but the service did not launch. The report said the plan stalled because the required regulatory approval did not arrive.
The Galaxy partnership is an announced service with an early-2027 target. The supplied reports do not provide further details about the planned service’s commercial arrangement, fees or customer eligibility.
What Comes Next
For now, Bank Leumi and Galaxy have outlined the trading assets, the Leumi Trade distribution channel and the Galaxy platforms intended to support trading and custody infrastructure. The planned launch is expected in early 2027.
