Casper price prediction: Is now a good time to buy CSPR?

Casper (CSPR) has seen recent gains in the past week and is currently trading at $0.05409 – a rise of 10% in the past 24 hours.

So how does this affect the latest Casper price prediction being made as of 26 April 2023?

What is Casper crypto (CSPR)?

The Casper mainnet was launched on 30 March 2021. It has a circulating supply of 10,954,043,525 CSPR out of a total of 11,668,518,988.

According to its whitepaper, Casper is “a new Turing-complete smart-contracting platform, backed by a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm and WebAssembly (Wasm). The network is a permissionless, decentralized, public blockchain.

“The network’s consensus protocol is called Highway, and it has several benefits over classic Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus protocols. First, Highway allows networks to reach higher thresholds of finality, meaning that more blocks are finalized, and validators agree to add them to the blockchain. Second, the protocol achieves flexibility by expressing block finality in ways not possible in BFT models. This protocol is built on the correct-by-construction (CBC) Casper research.”

The whitepaper adds: “As a Layer 1 blockchain, Casper is constantly exploring new ways to empower developers and businesses to build decentralized applications and create new economic opportunities. One area where we see a lot of potential is tokenization, which can enable a wide range of use cases and bring significant benefits to businesses and underserved communities.”
