Shiba Inu is rising the trending chart today after the recent listing of one of its native assets, $BONE, on Changelly.
BONE is one of the four tokens that will power the upcoming Shibarium network. It serves as the governance token for the decentralised exchange (DEX) platform called ShibaSwap. It also empowers the Shiba Inu community to participate in decision-making by voting on proposed changes and submitting their own proposals.
Its listing on Changelly is considered highly significant due to the potential injection of liquidity from the numerous cryptocurrency exchanges which Changelly acts as intermediary to.
Shibarium testnet reaches landmark transaction count
The newest development comes as the countdown continues for the launch of highly anticipated layer-2 network, Shibarium.
Shibarium’s testnet, Puppyscan has already achieved significant milestones, hitting an impressive 31,269,196 transactions shortly after crossing 30 million earlier this week. The total blocks in the ecosystem have also seen a significant increase, reaching 1,778,148 while wallet addresses increased to 17,062,382.
These positive metrics further solidifies the community’s growing interest and participation, paving the way for a strong Shibarium mainnet launch.
Shibarium is a layer-2 network designed for the Shiba ecosystem on the Ethereum blockchain. It is expected to set the groundwork for future innovations, including the anticipated Shib the Metaverse, ShibaSwap DEX, Shibacals, Shiba Eternity, Shiboshis and various other developments within the Shiba ecosystem.
Shibarium to be launched next month
After a lot of uncertainty surrounding the release date, lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama revealed that Shibarium will be released at the Blockchain Futurist Conference and ETHToronto on 15-16 August.
“We are proud to announce that we are the Title Sponsor of the Blockchain Futurist Conference, Eth Toronto and Eth Women! At this location, the completed Worldpaper will be exhibited, all Shib branded projects will be published and Treat will be published in detail for the first time. BONE surged by 15% and its trading volume increased by 86% after the news.
